About Shawnigan Lake School
Since 1916, Shawnigan Lake School has provided an education that leads to the development of the entire person: physical, artistic, social, moral, spiritual and intellectual. In Canada's boarding school, Shawnigan students are provided with exciting challenges seven days a week in a safe and secure rural setting. Located just 45 minutes north of Victoria on the shores of Shawnigan Lake, the school has the most spectacular campus one could ever hope to see, with 380 acres of wooded and landscaped grounds. Over the last decade, most of our facilities have been newly constructed or upgraded, including our nine residences, and the science, math and English centres. In Marion Hall, as traditionally impressive a building as you will find, we offer our students an unparalleled family dining experience, paying special attention to healthy dietary choices, manners and deportment. Non-denominational gatherings are held three mornings a week in the intimate setting of our Chapel, where students know it's cool to sing. Small class sizes, outstanding facilities, and committed teachers make Shawnigan the complete educational choice. As a university preparatory school, we offer students a wide range of provincial and Advanced Placement courses and all of our young men and women are expected to take full part in our nationally recognized athletics and arts programs. A visit to our spectacular campus will convince you that Shawnigan is the place where dreams come true.
