Our first graduating class from the Diploma Programme celebrated a 100% success rate, compared to the world average of 80%. The students also achieved an average score on their examinations of 33.1 points, where the world average was 29.5 points. One of the highest student participation rates in athletics in the province. One of just three schools in BC to be granted membership by the Canadian Educational Standards Institute (CESI) www.cesi.edu
About Meadowridge School
Meadowridge School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School, offering the academically-rigorous Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. This continuum of learning supports the growth and development of the whole child in a safe, supportive and challenging environment. Through inquiry-based instruction, students learn to engage with challenging and complex questions effectively and creatively. Just 45 minutes east of Vancouver, British Columbia, Meadowridge School is located in beautiful Maple Ridge on a unique, pastoral 26-acre campus complete with gardens, greenhouses, a discovery forest and stream for students across the continuum to engage and explore. Our 103,000 square foot facility includes state-of-the-art science labs, a theatre, an eight foot bouldering wall, and an international-sized soccer pitch. Children?s ways of thinking strongly involve the imagination, emotion, and community, and should play the entire symbolic range. At Meadowridge we offer not only a challenging academic program, but a well-rounded arts, athletics and experiential education with over 40 teams and clubs, a library with close to 50,000 resources, a caring faculty with advanced degrees and a passion for education, as well as specialized teachers for the Languages, Music, Visual Arts, and Design and Technology. With our accreditation of the IB program, and as members of the Council of International Schools (CIS), Meadowridge is committed to providing our students the highest quality of education and the knowledge to become engaged participants in the global community. Only two schools in Canada have this dual accreditation as both IB Continuum and CIS.
