About College De L'Ouest De L'ile
West Island College is a private, non-profit high school located in the West Island of Montreal, whose mission is to prepare our graduates to excel in post-secondary education and in life through academic achievement, community service, experiential learning and co-curricular involvement in a bilingual environment. The vision of West Island College is of a multicultural community of learners, focused on the education of the complete individual. At WIC, we are committed to the pursuit of excellence, fostering a passion for knowledge and instilling fundamental values that empower our students to succeed in the ever-challenging environment of today and tomorrow. We live in a world where everything is changing at an incredibly fast pace. Schools must "prepare our young people to face a world where they will be working in jobs that do not currently exist, using technology not yet invented, and solving problems that do not exist at the present time." (Karl Fish, 2007) To face this reality, WIC has developed its Advantage 21 pedagogical approach.
