About LCBI High School

LCBI High School is located in Outlook, Saskatchewan, Canada. The school's beautiful campus overlooks the picturesque bank above the Saskatchewan River. LCBI is a co-ed grade 9-12 boarding school and are pleased to offer a tuition-free model to our Saskatchewan Residents. All students are instructed by fully accredited teachers. All courses are recognized by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education; and all courses are completely transferable to other provinces and used for entrance to post-secondary institutions. We are an international school: over the past decade alone students from Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Denmark, Norway, Kazakhstan, Colombia and Dubai, etc. have all called LCBI home. In addition to high-quality academic programs, the school offers students a number of opportunities to participate in athletics like cross country, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, curling, badminton, track and field and golf. In addition, LCBI has a strong fine arts program. Students have the opportunity to participate in a host of different activities including voice and piano lessons, mass choir, small group performances and drama productions. Students can also take part in one of the many outdoor activities like hiking and skiing in the Canadian Rocky Mountains or going on canoe trips to either Prince Albert National Park or along the Saskatchewan River. We are a Christian school of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. Students from a variety of Christian backgrounds have attended LCBI. The school provides an ecumenical environment where students are encouraged to develop their gifts as individuals while also developing a sense of social responsibility and compassion for others. Students have many service opportunities both locally and abroad: students volunteer their time and energy once a month in Outlook to assist those in need. There are also opportunities to take part in one of the annual missions to Mexico. In previous years we have gone to Grenada, Victoria and Washington. LCBI was established in 1911 and has a long history of academic excellence. The school is well-known throughout Canada for its academic and extra-curricular programs. Many graduates of LCBI have gone on to do great things. For example, graduates played an important part in the development of the Canada Arm used in NASA's space shuttle program. Some grads have gone on to conduct physics research at the Synchrotron located at the University of Saskatchewan; others have established their own businesses or have become captains of industry on the international stage; and countless other grads have become professors, engineers, doctors, lawyers, translators, teachers, authors, etc. who have contributed greatly to the cultural, economic and spiritual development of both Canada and the world. We are proud of our graduates and we invite you become part of a century long LCBI tradition.
